In Response To: Candle Wax on unfinished wood (Randy Mc)

Try chilling the wax with an ice cube and then scraping with the edge of a credit card to remove as much as possible. Ther is a good chance that some of the wax soaked into the wood before it cooled. Try some sight solvent like naptha to soak the wax then use kitty litter to absorb the oil/wax mix. You may need to do this several times to get the wax out. Then use an oil based stain for color seal with a 1 1/2 lb. cut coat of shellac then finish.
