Antique copper pot

I realize this isn't "furniture" but hopefully someone can help. I have a very larg copper pot. I have been told it is solid copper but has been tinned, both inside and out. I have been told the tinning can be removed, to reveal the copper underneath, by using a grinding wheel attached to an electric drill starting with coarse graduating to a buffing wheel. However, I have no idea what type of grinding wheel to use. Can someone give me an idea of what to use. Or is there another method of removing the tinning?
