Be careful. I'am not an expert on this , but I've seen some attempts at restoring some of this stuff turn out awful.The manufacturers at this time were using a false finish (read plastic like here) that after sanding was nothing more than utility grade wood underneath. Look very closely on any unfinished area (back edges , drawer tops and insides)to determine if the wood is capable of being redone. Maybe you should take a drawer or easy to remove piece to a pro restorer for an opinion first. Good luck. Pete Dale
