I had purchased a very old rocker from a barn sale last fall and have taken it to a friend of mine who does refinishing. It is made of oak and the top back rail had the profile of lions heads with their mouths open. The seat is made with horsehair over the springs and stuffed in one of the springs was a newspaper from the Detroit,Mich area. The Detroit Journal dated July 15, 1905. On the bottom front of the chair is a craftsmans mark and I was wondering if anyone out there knows how I can track it to find out who made it and the approximate date it was made........... Thank you so much
