Mahogony/Leather Bench

I recently purchased a 9 ft. mahogony and leather bench which is supposedly from an old train station in New York City. The wood part of the bench seems to be in pretty good condition, although appears to be dry from being stored away for some time. The leather is cracked and dry. The leather seating and back cushions are each, one long cushion. I do not wish to strip the wood, but would like to know what to use on it to clean/preserve/restore it. And, is there anything specifically I should use on the leather to preserve it, or would I be better off removing the leather entirely and having new cushions made I do intend to use the bench, but I'm concerned that because of the cracking/dry leather cushions, if they cannot be conditioned or preserved in some way, they may fall apart entirely.
