repairing/replacing wood vaneer

I had a hall chair given to me . The chair was left outside a couple of years ago and got wet now the vaneer has come loose. The person who gave it to me pulled some of the vaneer off I did save a couple of pieces to match if possible. I would like to know the easiest why to replace or repair the vaneer, if repairable, and the best place to find wood vaneer. I was told it was an antique but am not sure how old it really is. Did not get a chance to look it over closely. It also has 2 leather pads, one on the seat and one on the back. Thanks for your help.
