Don't put the armoire in your house until you can determine if the worms are still present. They don't care whether they eat furniture or houses. Get an exterminator to check the piece also look for any fresh sawdust. Unless the piece is so riddled that it is loosing structural strength the holes should not greatly affect its value. I can't tell you what it would cost to restore a piece like this in your area, in central NC a quality shop would charge in the $2,000 range.
