Armoir is full of holes

Hi There,

I recently purchased an armoir in the dark, literally. I was told it was 18th century, italian. Once it was deliverred I found it riddled with worm holes. I was told it was an old infestation, that I should not worry about it. How can I tell if it is still infected? The holes still have frass in them, I can find larvae casings here and there. There are so many holes I wouldn't be able to tell if there are any new ones. Is this armoir worth anything in its current state? Is it worth restoring? What is a ballpark figure for the restoration of an armoir, roughly 4 feet wide by 7 feet tall?

Please help with any ideas. I'm afraid this was one of those too good to be true stories.

Thank You.
