In Response To: seperating cabinate doors (Darrel Burns)

Either the rails (vertical parts of the door frame) have shrunk and caused the joints to seperate or the frames have swollen pushing the seams apart. Odds are that the rails have shrunk, since the panels are probably plywood. There are two ways to repair them. If they are still solidly atatched you can fill the cracks with wood filler level and color to match. If the rails are not solidly attatched the doors will have to be taken apart the joints cleaned and regluled. You may also have to time the panel edges to get the doors to fit together tightly.
