In Response To: steam-bending moulding (mal)

Mal that is a very tight radius you may have some difficulty bending the molding. I would first soak the molding for a day or two to get it good and wet (steam heating can actually dry wood) then steam for at least an hour. When the piece is remove from the steam you will have a very shor working time so be prepared to bend it immediately. Leather work gloves and or tongs can help you handle it without burning yourself. Good luck!
