Barrister Bookcases (metal) - damaged glass

Hello there,

I have two metal barrister bookcase modules with damaged glass.

One was made by Globe Wernicke. It's glass is intact but is not sitting properly in the frame/door because it looks like someone replaced it without putting the clips around it properly. All the clips are present, but currently, only two are actually holding the glass.

The second has a rubber-stamped mark on it which reads "Hillside Metal Products, Inc. Newark NJ USA." This module has broken glass in it.

I have looked carefully at the construction of both doors and am baffled as to how the clips which hold the glass come in and out. I'm curious as to whether it's simple enough for me to take out myself (if so, any suggestions on how to do this?) so I can fix the glass, or complex enough for me to just leave it to a professional.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Janey
