In Response To: dreeser, drawer sides worn down. (Rick Jenkins)

You can repair the drawer sides by taking the drawers apart and gluinng a patch on the bottome edge. 1st be sure eth bottom is straight by either planing it or running it through a table saw. Use the same wood as the original Doing this may mean that you will have to duplicate the bottm half dovetail, but that is much quicker than doing the whole drawer side. The runners can frequently be removed turned upside down and installed on the opposite side. Lubing the runners and drawer edges a couple of times a year with paste wax will help prevent wear.
