Wood Dresser/Smell

I purchased and refinished a dresser about two months ago. I'm not sure how old it is or what kind of wood it is. But it definitely smells very, very old. It has that musty wood smell about it. I've cleaned, used vinegar (red and white) I've tried Fabreeze, and other odour eating agents. I've aired it out for days. All of these have worked, however they have only been temporary solutions. The smell keeps coming back. Any ideas for a permanent fix.
