Mary Jo,

Do you mean an old iron crib? If so, it all comes apart...can be put together without the sides...so just put it together minus the side that raises and lowers. You might want to put a piece of plywood over the springs if you will actually be sitting in it, and you may need to remove the casters. Save all the pieces so you can put it back together some day. They are not that comfortable to sit in. I used to keep one to display dolls, then used it for my son when he was born. Diane
