In Response To: stripping lead paint - stained glass window (Michele Alford)

Any good grade of stripper should handle the paint for you. The danger with lead painted pieces is primarily in sanding once they have been stripped. The dust may contain lead that has been leached from the paint into the wood. Sand with a vacuum attaachment or with good exahaust air flow. Wear a dust mask or organic mask long sleeves and gloves also healp. Change clothes before going around young children.
