Refinishing Lane Cedar Chest

I received a Lane Cedar Chest that was my grandmother's and it looks like it has had some damage done to the finish on the trim on the cover and also the feet of the chest. The finish is like blistered and you can scrape it off quit easily. Underneath is the bare wood. My grandmother got the chest back in the year 1949 and has what they call a blonde finish to it. What are my choices to repair this damage on the trim and the feet? I realize that trying to match the stain maybe a problem.
