In Response To: repair paint on antique sign (Val)

That is a tough one. Placement in a well controlled environment with an acrylic sheet to cover against dust and damage may be the best thing. Avoid great changes in humidity, around 35% is best, all year round. As for resitcking the loosening paint, any thing that would do that would devalue the item, like a heavy coat of pour on varnish? Parish the thought!
