These items are quite plentiful and don't have a lot of value on the market, but certainly for sentimental value it has meaning for you and they can be nice looking when restored well. However, it's a major restoration project by your description for sure, so if you were thinking of doing the job for profit, I would advise against that....start with all the repair work, and if it comes apart into pieces, strip the pieces before assembling it. Usually these are frame and panel construction and it's easier to strip the individual pieces then trying to strip the whole thing, usually....IMHO..IF it comes apart.
