Hi Lindy, we all do silly things from time to time...what you're describing to me still sounds like the finish that was on this table is predominately wax, When a glass leaves a ring on a wax finish, it looks as per your description. The Lemon oil dissolved the finish because of the solvents in the product...I believe at this point you could use Mineral spirits or turpentine and the 0000 steel wool to reamalgamate (melt) the remaining finish, again using the circular motions to make a slurry and while stiil wet finish with long straight strokes with the grain. I think you've done enough damage to the surface to warrant taking a deep breath and realizing you have to really do a major finish restoration here. As depressing as that sounds we should be able to help you accomplish that. Can you take any digital pictures of the top? I find that to be quite helpful in understanding a written description, sometimes. Is the second product that "Howard's" stuff?? I am not too familiar with these products, but often these so called "miracles in a bottle" are less than what they appear to be, and one is better off practicing proper restoration methods.
