ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

Preserving antique furniture in a humid climate

I recently purchased a large house here on the Louisiana Coast and the previous owner left a large Henry VIII (?) cabinet in the home. (She said it was too large to move and didn’t want it in her new apartment, so I gave her a couple hundred USD for it.) It is a three-piece cabinet 10 feet high in near perfect shape with intricate dragon designs and wood columns. A few small wood cracks are present. There is a small worn paper glued to the inside of one of the drawers with very faded words “ecouler ff15.000” written on it.

I cleaned it up with lemon oil. Is there any other precautions or advice as to preserving this antique piece in this humid climate?
