gooey lacquer and carpet for seats

HI - I am refinishing/restoring an old wooden folding chair that has soft seat and back that are made of carpeting - kind of like modern directors chairs - I have the original carpeting, very fancy patterns, too worn to put back on - now that the frame is practically finished, I am starting to look for newly made historic patterned carpeting - I researched it and its patterned Wilton, cut pile carpet from about 1876 - does anyone know of a place where I can get some smaller pieces (about 20 x 20) to finish this chair - I contacted JR Burrows and have not heard back, yet, and I hate the idea of using regular fabric or solid color carpet

By the way - the frame was a MESS - the old lacquer finish had oozed and melted (thats what it looked like) and turned green - just awful - but it came off easily with acetone - has anyone ever run into this ?
