If you search through the index you'll see many posts regarding mold and mildew. You have to kill the mold/mildew or it will keep coming back as it is an organism.....a 10% bleach/water solution is the usual treatment and you do have to wash it down thoroughly and wipe dry with clean rags...Lysol Liquid cleaner is also a good choice ...and smells alittle better..I also would not suggest applying a finish over Lemon oiled surfaces.....if you don't kill the mold/mildew, refinishing will only slow it down
