In Response To: Painted Metal Bed (C Bedford)

The bed is likely a steel with the original paint having been removed with all the rest. The remaining steel sna be brushed with a wire wheel and sand paper of semilar coarseness. Wipe off all smudges and finger prints and coat with a poly or lacquer for brass, the shene can be medium for a stainless steel look, that will prevent most rust, but a couple coats may be best if frequent cleaning is expected, to avoid rust and easy wear.
