In Response To: coldayr icebox (Chris)

I see that it's been over a year since you posted this. Have you sold it, yet? I was just wondering...I have purchased one myself and was wondering if I got a good deal. I was told that it came to the shop with a matching stove that used coal/wood on one side and kerosene on the other side. They were purchased from a gentleman in the mountains who used them up until about 2 years ago. I have no idea when they were made. The shop owner said that the stove went fast ($1,200). I purchased the icebox which was a creamy color trimmed in a pale green. It looks like it has all the original parts (three doors, rack for the ice block, and wire racks in the larger compartment) , but does have some light rust places. Anyway...I paid $400 for it and I was very pleased. I guess that's all that matters, right?
